Fun with smoothies
Feb. 6th, 2007 06:53 pmOne again, I get caught up in reading and forget to update my own journal... oops!
I spent today running around sorting stuff out for the house, as usual. Still, I've managed to sort out the changes that needed to be made to my kitchen order, sorted out some details with the builders, and picked up one set of sample tiles. I wanted to get more, but I ran out of time.. mostly because I spent a good hour or so clearing up the lounge to find my receipt for my order. The lounge isn't that much tidier, but at least I've found my TV and Xbox remotes, a load of hairbands, three coathangers, a packet of biscuits, some polos and the case for my Lumines PSP game. All of that was just from one chair! *boggles*
I ended up spending an hour at the dentist this morning when I got my replacement fillings done - I didn't even get called in until I'd been there for about 45 minutes. Plus, I think he messed up slightly when he was giving me the local anaesthetic. It hurt a lot more than usual (although even on his best day it hurts a lot more than my last dentist did >.<) and now it hurts to open my jaw too far *sigh*. One mildly amusing thing, though - I didn't have to pay because my teeth were under warranty. Like the receptionist said, it makes them sound like a car or somesuch. Hee.
I remembered I had two papayas in the fridge, so before they went bad I decided to make smoothies out of them - I've only used one so far, but the other one will not escape! I need to blend the fruit for longer, I think, but it was tasty good - and at least I've got a couple of portions of fruit down me today, even if I did spoil my appetite for dinner.
My performance review got cancelled yesterday. No surprise there... *rolls eyes*
