keziathGood news for a change - I just had someone visit from Swalec to give me a quote on replacing the boiler... and apparently it doesn't need replacing. It does need some stuff doing on it, and he suggested I take out boiler cover with Swalec and get them to do a maintenance visit, which I was thinking of doing anyway. It shouldn't cost very much to get fixed, and it's certainly a lot better than forking over 2 grand for a new boiler. ^_^
It was mildly surreal since it turns out he's the engineer who fitted it in the first place to the previous owners when he was working for a different company.
