My jaw hurts. Could be something to do with the two injections I had in it today, perhaps?
Nah...
*snicker*

I confess.. I'm wired. Just been to see Star Wars. More coherent thoughts later. And yes, my jaw hurts because I had two injections into in today. Right in the hinge. Ouch. Better than having my teeth drilled without anaesthetic though *g*. That's right - filling time. I actually had two done - I went to get the huge hole in my tooth sorted out from where I ate a toffee (yes, a chunk of my tooth fell off because I ate a toffee, although I will admit I had a teeny chip knocked off beforehand) and he kindly put a filling on the one next to it, because that one looked like it was going to be the next to go.
*sigh*
And I still have an infection at the root of one of my teeth from where my nerve died and I had it drilled out. They put me on amoxycillin for it before, which didn't do anything. Now I've got an appointment for in about two weeks to get it sorted out, and for the moment I'm on (a fairly high dose of) metronidazole. Which means absolutely no alcohol. None. Nada. That sucks. Mind you, making myself sick by drinking alcohol while on metronidazole would be worse. Far worse - in fact, I don't want to think about it, thankyou very much *g*.
*looks wistful*. You know, on my eighteenth birthday, I had no fillings whatsoever. Now, three years later (well, three and a half), I've got eight crowns, and I've just had my ninth and tenth fillings. Talk about crumbly teeth *sigh*. It's not quite as bad as it sounds, though. One of my fillings had to be replaced because the original one fell out, and another one had to be replaced just because. And two of them got replaced by crowns. So really I've only got eight crowns and six fillings. Big difference, I know *G*
I think I'll go to bed now and meditate on the sorrows of having crumbly teeth. Mind you, the amount of time I've spent at the dentists does mean I now have the somewhat dubious distinction of being one of the few people who've actually falled asleep in a dentist's chair. During treatment. I kid you not - it was a two-hour long appointment while I was having my crowns done (one of three appointments - yeech!). I was rather bored, so I kept dozing off. Only trouble is, whenever I did, my jaw started to close, and I got yelled at. So sadly I didn't get to stay asleep *G*
I seem to be talking far too much ::gags herself::
