The Music Festival...
Aug. 12th, 2001 11:47 pmUnless you'd been chatting to me on AIM, you probably had no idea what I was going on about in my last entry. So, to clear things up:
It was a folk music festival, at a little place called Cropredy. Thursday to Saturday, although most people stayed over Saturday night and went home Sunday. Lots of stalls selling interesting things - among the odder items I came home with included a poncho, a drum, a handbell, a tambourine... I could go on *g*
I also indulged myself by buying some agate and semiprecious stones - collecting them is a hobby of mine :). The best bit was a slice of agate about ten inches across by about six inches high, and about five millimetres thick. There I go again, mixing my measurements. Thats what comes of growing up in a country when the schools used metric but everyone else uses imperial *bg*
The main group playing at the festival was Fairport Convention, in case anyones heard of them. No? Then how about Brass Monkey? Or maybe even Francis Dunnery and the Grass Virgins?
No? I'm ashamed of you all *g*. Although I must admit I hadn't heard of the last ones until I read the programme ;-)
Time for bed, I think.
G'night.
Ellen
PS. Amy, I love the cattygirl song! *rofl*
